Positioning the Model

When connecting to a session for the first time, Vyzn shows a red representation of the model, and following the users gaze, will prompt you to ”air tap“ to position it. For models without Vyzn specific features, the position of the model, in relation to the user's gaze, is determined so that the center of the lower surface of the bounding box is as close to the gaze line as possible while placing the model. For models with Vyzn specific features, the model’s pivot point is used instead.

For instance, if you have a real-world sized model, set the model’s pivot point to the location you want to display in the FOV while positioning the model.

The same pivot point is used to determine the axis around which the model rotates when doing “air tap and hold”.
